Multiple mouth ulcers/ blisters?

I am a 29 year old female, newly married and trying to concieve. For the past year possibley longer I have been getting mouth ulcers and or blisters. It use to be just one every now and then, but now I have about 2 episodes a month resulting in mulitple (Lining the form of my lips on the inside, where the gum meets the lip, sometimes on the sides of my tounge, and possibly on my throat but I cant see them), it does seem to sometimes mimic the timing of my hormonal cycles ( ovulation and period), I take a muti vitamin everyday ( prenatel) and a Lysine tablet 2 times a day, I use a soft tooth brush, I dont eat sharp food, I use Lysterine, I use an canker soar/ oral iritation mouth wash containing peroxide...*sigh*
My doctor told me that he did not believe they were herpes related, for one they tend to vary in where they are located ( however now I get so many that there is little chance of showing up in a new place), they are clear blisters in small groups that burst on there own or I do it with my tounge because of the irritation, they usually turn whiteish, they are tender, they do not crust over or turn yellow like herpes ( from what I have read), I dont get a fever...
Please help! i am so frustrated!

Has anyone ever checked the pH level of your body?  You can easily test your pH at home by purchasing small litmus-paper at your drug store or pharmacy.  To get the most accurate reading, expose the strip to a sample of your saliva immediately after awakening in the moring and before eating breakfast.  Color changes on the litmus paper will determine pH; there will be instruction on what level is normal.
You said you have been trying to have a baby?  If your pH in your body is off, you body will not conceive.

Hope this helps.

I was having problems with a sore mouth all the time a couple of years ago. A doctor I was working with told me to stsrt using Teatree toothpaste & Teatree mouth wash...he said I could find it in any healthfood store, it's all natural.  I was skeptial but I got some & tried it & to my surprise, it worked. Within a few days my mouth felt better.
It's a little expensive & it  doesn't taste the best (it's not bad) but it does work & that's all that mattered to me.
I know you said you are taking prenatal vitamins but you might want to get your vitamin B-12 level checked also. You could have an absorption problem & a sore mouth is one of the symptoms of that.
Good Luck & God Bless, TJ

Mouth ulsers, and canker sores, are collectively called aphthous ulsers.  They may form due to many things, or they can be of unknown origin.  The general thought is that they form when the white blood cells in the body identify cells, chemicals, or bacteria in the mouth as unknown invaders and attack them creating ulsers.  Other causes are the presence of sodium laurel sulfate in toothpaste or mouthwash, consuming acidic foods or foods with cinnamonaldehyde (a flavoring agent), or benzoid acid (preservative).  They may be caused by vitamin deficiencies in folic acid (you should be taking this anyway if you are trying to get pregnant), B, or C vitamins or calcium.  The presence of inflammation in the body may be a cause, such as IBS, Bechets syndrome, Chrons, etc.  Medications such as NSAIDs and beta blockers can also contribute to the formation of ulsers.  The "biggie" for women who suffer these is hormonal changes, but often find a reprieve during pregnancy.  They are not "catching", just painful and icky to have.  Hope this helps.
