PICA or no?

PICA or no?

Since I was very little, I've craved vinegar.  I can taste it in anything and have even drank A1 steak sauce when I had no vinegar in the house.  When people would clean the windows with water and vinegar, I would volunteer so I could sneak behind the couch and spray it in my mouth.  I have GORD/LPR and IBS and have had a recent bout with an enlarged spleen and gastritis.  I have tested negative for Celiac in the last 2 years.  I fear I am the reason I have these issues.  I must have severely damaged my insides.  Yet, I cannot stop the cravings.  I have only drank vinegar twice in the last month but seem to crave it all the time and it's hard not to drink it.  The only thing stopping me now is the bad pain I'm in from the gastritis and not being able to eat much.  I am frequently iron and vit d deficient and take prescription supplements for that.  I have a 959 on B12 and the range goes up to 914 I believe. I am not talking about people who like to have some vinegar with cucumbers or on a salad.  I'm talking about craving drinking it etc.  What is the deal with this?  My preference is Apple Cider vinegar.

Pica is an eating disorder which children and adults eat non-food objects. The causes of Pica are unknown, however, certain situations may increase the risk to it such as nutritional deficiencies of iron or zinc (the nonfood items craved usually do not supple the minerals lacking in the body), malnutrition (seen in underdeveloped countries where people will eat clay or soil), development problems (mental disabilities, and autism) and mental health conditions (obsessive-compulsive disorder and schizophrenia). The craving of certain foods, such as vinegar, may be related to nutritional deficiencies of a mineral or vitamin as well. Usually pregnant women crave vinegar type foods. Hoped this helped you.
