Response to supplement Metanx, Is this normal?

I was recently put on a high B6, B12. Folic Acid supplement for peripheral neuropathy at one tablet per day.  After the 2nd dose I tasted a saccarhine sweet taste in my mouth and after the third day and third dose the taste was overwhelming plus it was now coming from my skin and my urine reeked of it.  I am emanating this smell from every pore in my body.  Other symptoms include headache and nausea plus pain under my right rib cage in the kidney area.
I understand this could help my neuropathy which is newly diagnosed and moderately severe, but is this a normal response to a supplement?
