Slim down

Hi. Im trying to lose some weight and i wanna go about it in a healthy way. Do you know any excercise plans that slim you down but dont bulk you up?

Hey there,

In my experience what has worked best for me is to do many repetitions of light weight exercises. Bulk comes from doing heavy weights. I LOVE "The Firm" workout videos. They never get boring, are all 40 minutes or less, and are very effective.

Your weight is normal for your height. Aerobic exercises would be good, such as walking, stair stepping, dancing, and biking. These exercises help your heart and body to get healthy. Yoga is another form of exercise to try also. Women, as a rule, do not "bulk" up muscle like men do, however, you will increase lean body muscle mass as you tone up the body’s muscles. When you start exercising, measuring your waist is a better indicator of weight loss then the weight scale. Exercising tones up our muscles (muscle is heavier then fat) so you may not see weight loss, however, your waistline is decreasing. Thank you for your question.
