Essential fatty acids should reduce pimples, not cause them, though it depends on the company and what they put in the capsule. The exception would be using evening primrose oil, which contains essential fatty acids but also affects hormones and might temporarily cause a breakout. Could also be something in the vitamin pill -- cheap brands and drug store brands use fillers and binders you might be allergic to. Lots of possibilities. If the pimples last, easy test is to quit taking what you just started and if they go away and stay away, you have your answer.
Hi. Thank you for responding. That is interesting what you said about the Fatty Acids. Have you ever heard if they can cause breakouts? The Synthroid hasn't caused problems in the past. I am going to try stopping the Omega's for now. Thank you so much.
It is more than likely the Synthroid causing the pimples, sometimes when our hormones are out of whack, we will get these things, especially as the body tries to re-adjust itself. Ask your doctor about this as well.
As to vitamins, if it were anything, it could be due to the Fatty Acids, try cutting back on those and see what happens.
Hope this helps.
