Losing sixteen pounds in 6 weeks is rapid weight loss which is really not good for the body. It is recommended to lose 5lbs a month. The slower you lose weight, the slower you will gain it back. For your age, it is suggested to consume 1800-1600 calories daily for weight loss. All types of physical activity is good for the body and does help with weight loss. Hoped this helped you.
