Vitamin B6 is a
vitalVital-d vitamin in our bodies that plays a critical part in numerous body functions. Vitamin B6 toxicity causes temporary neurological symptoms, which, according to the literature, usually take up to 6 months for it to resolve itself for majority of people. There are some people who do have permanent damage. It is recommended not to take any supplement of vitamin B6 and try not to eat large amounts of foods high in vitamin B6 at meals for 6 months. After 6 months suggest you only get Vitamin B6 from your food sources (no greater then 100mg a day) and not from supplementation.
I would suggest avoiding beef, chicken, shrimp, avocados, cauliflower, peanuts, whole wheat and anything else with high B6. Check multiple online sources for data on this - they often differ. Freezing meats and consuming with alcohol reduces B6, but be careful as you are already toxic. Watch out for sensitivities to other supplements/meds and other toxins. I would not take anything for a while. Artificial sweeteners are bad for nerves. Stay well hydrated and eat as balanced a diet as you can- try to get a lot of variety and a lot of fresh, whole foods. Keep a food journal and a journal for your experience, it really helps. Try low impact exercise if you can, build up slowly. I suggest a book- The Healer Within by Roger Jahnke - get the hardcover - it is out of print but available at alibris.com -It has really helped me get through this trying experience.
Check out the other post and feel free to message me directly if I can be of any help. Consider writing to the FDA about your dose/length of time taken/symptoms/recovery. I think they have a link for this online at the FDA website.
I wish you a quick & complete recovery.
