colon cleanse

I am wanting to do a colon clense but having surgery in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could do this now or if better to wait until right after surgery to help eliminate all the nasty toxins I might accumulate during a surgery

Hi K-
I would honestly wait till surgery is over, like you said you will probably be on medications that would add a lot of toxins, also depends what kind of surgery, I have been actually thinking about doing one, but I'm procrastinating...why I don't know, Have you done any other body cleanses? I was instructed to do a whole body cleanse first- might or might not be true...good luck with the surgery

Be EXTREMELY careful about body or colon supplements that are supposed to clense your body of "poisons". They clean you out by giving you diarrhea.  This will dehydrate you and remove electrolytes from your body.  Low electrolytes can cause muscle spasms, seizures, and heart muscle damage and mess up your heart rate.  If you remember Ms Shivo, who recently made headlines by getting her life support unplugged, you may remember she got brain damage from just this sort of treatment.  She dieted and took colon cleanse products for one week and ended up with a stroke and brain damage. It only took one week.

Hi, I have just started a blog that gathers tips related to cleanse colon forums and web sites, including colon cleanse home remedies and review colon cleanse products. It would be wonderful if you can drop by to visit my web site http://www.cleansecolonblog.com to check out the latest information about cleansing colon. I hope it helps. Thank you.

I am sure you've had your surgery and everything is going well. I would definately recommend a cleansing program and to incorporate one each year. I have been cleansing for 8 years now and I think it is important in maintaining my overall body health and wellness. I do use drnatura's colonix program because I have such great success with it. Cleansing, I believe is like taking your car in for an oil change, making sure all systems are in working order. Great for overall well being and health.
