It may not be possible to detect the exact cause without a complete medical evaluation. It is possible that you are suffering from gastritis, reflux disease, food poisoning or stomach flu. Try taking some over the counter antacids for relief in symptoms. If the symptoms are severe consult a gastroenterologist. Meanwhile take light meals, take more liquids and see if it makes diiference.Spitting mucus can be due to chest congestion, allergies, asthma or any lung condition. Are you also having cough? In that case blood counts and an X-ray chest will be helpful. Do keep us posted.
