Not so concerned with calories, as that's not the real problem with eating, but dried fruits are higher in sugar than fresh fruit, and even fresh fruit should be eaten in moderation because of the high sugar content. So they are relatively healthy, but only in moderation. The most important consideration sometimes, though, is, are they substituting for something worse, like ice cream? In that case, you've made a step up. Everything's relative.
Hi there, dry fruits are healthy, but you need to remember that all that is missing from them is water. So if you eat 6 dried apricots, you are in fact eating the same calories as 6 fresh apricots. So eat them sparingly. But they are great for fiber and nutrients. Not so great for calories, and they can stick to your teeth too!
