gallbladder symptoms but ultrasond clear

I am 39.  Have had two sever attacks with pain radiating from lower right ribs, round to back and into shoulder blade.  constantly bloated, constantly windy, burping and bringin up sick.  Pain/discomfor consant in right back/under breast (lower ribs) with occasion severe pain where I cannot move/ hurts to breathe. Constant swollen stomach for last 12 weeks and yellow tinge to tongue last week or so.  Are these symptoms of gallbladder?  History on fathers side.  Ultrasound clear but still in pain and feeling unwell but doc thinks not gall bladder as something including inflamation would have showm up on ultra sound.  Also normally always constipated but recently loose mucus coverd stools, sometimers diaorhea in last couple of weeks. I have suffered from IBS since age of 15 and I KNOW this feels different but doc thinks not!

Yeah deffinatly get a Hida scan on your gallbladder. Your Ultrasound can come out fine because you may not have any gallstones but the hida scan will show how well your gallbladder functions. I was severaly sick with stomach problems for almost 2 years but had random severe pain since for 5 years. Every test came out fine even my ultrasound. I finally got health insurance and got to see a Gasterologist he did a hida scan on my gallbladder and sure enough my gallbladder didnt function correctly so I have it removed in Feb. Since surgery I have been doing a lot better. Im not 100% I think I still might have to much acid or maybe a lil bit of Gasteritis but I feel like Im finally getting my life back. So I would highly recommend asking your doctor for a hida scan on your gallbladder if he says no then I would sugest getting a 2nd opinion from a different doctor. I went thru 7 or 8 different doctors until they figured out it was really my gallbladder the whole time.

Ultrasound on the gall bladder means nothing. Sometimes something shows up. You need a hydascan. I've went through this with my son who is only 16. I finally had to change docs the first doc wasn't doing anything. He said that gall bladder removal was too risky because of his obesity. He wanted to put a lap band on him! Yeah. I felt it was to invasive for him. I hope you get some help soon!
