You are underweight for your height as you stated. You need to consume approximately 2000 calories per day to maintain your weight. Since you are underweight, suggest gaining weight slowly, try to eat a Heart Healthy diet which will give you the nutrients, vitamins and minerals your body needs, and help with possibly preventing future disease states. Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet and a moderate fat diet means = using polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats. Eat low fat meats (chicken, fish, loin of pork) or non-meat sources (soy products, nuts), low fat vegetarian combinations (rice & beans, pasta & beans, low fat cheese & pasta), low fat and substitute dairy products (1% milk, low fat/fat free yogurts, low fat soy milk/soy yogurt), use plant oils, non trans-fat margarines, and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Eat daily high fiber breads and cereals (oatmeal). Try nutrient dense drinks 2-3 a day, either purchase them, such as Ensure or Boost, or make your own milkshakes - milk, ice cream, and frozen fruit blended or yogurt smoothies - yogurt, milk, and frozen fruit blended for additional calories, protein and nutrients to help increase your weight. If your weight does not slowly increase from above, suggest going to your doctor to get your thyroid checked. Hoped that helped you.

Starting to gain weight is something I know all too well suffering with anorexia for 3 years. Heres what helped ME gain 15-20 pounds in aprox. 1 month. First step is to keep a food journal so you can realize how little you are eating. Next is to increase your carbs by 30g a day, this is gonna really help. Add 10% more fats into your diet such as just adding some coconut oil, or avocado into your meals. Its also about your food combining. Ill make it simple because when I started this I had no clue what I was doing. When you eat a carb you must have a protein. When you eat greens don't eat anything else with them. When you eat a fruit eat them before greens. And NEVER mix proteins and fruit omg this one I cannot stress enough. Good luck on your journey to a better weight! :)

Try to go for foods filled with omegas and good fats (fish, eggs, nuts, avocados, etc). You could also research which foods complement each other(will increase the amount of certain nutrients absorbed). And don't limit your calorie intake, but go for good ones!  Also research fooda that are good and less good for your blood type.

Ps.this is just a suggestion, im not a doctor, only have done some research on nutrion and health for myself. (im about to start nutrition school, its my passion.)
