safety of bromelain

by terecia37, Aug 04, 2005 12:00AM
Hello,

I have alot of inflamation (inflammation) from spine surgery and would like to take bromelain for it rather than anti-inflammatories, does anyone know anything about this herb, and if it would be safe to take after a spinal fusion,

Peggy

Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples. I would think it would be extremely safe to take. For inflammatory conditions, it must be taken on an empty stomach. Garden of Life makes an excellent supplement called FYI( for your inflammation). It takes a few weeks to see the results, but it is a good product. Just follow the directions on the bottle. Hope you feel better.
