started new diet and now i have horrible headaches...why?!

i posted this in another forum, but i feel this one is more appropriate. so, i just started a new diet last monday...nothing major. i just eliminated all fast food, sugar, and fried foods. every since starting it i have been getting bad headaches..,.im not sure if it is some sort of withdrawal symptom from not eating all the fast food and sugar like im use to. could it be possible my body is trying to adjust to the new healthy food im eating. any suggestions would be great bc i have never had headaches like this before until starting this new diet.

Most likely it is withdrawal. Just like any other substance or body is use to when taken away the body rebels. Stick with it they will pass

Since you don't say what you are eating, just what you eliminated, it's hard to answer this question, though I would tend to agree with your instinct.  Any major change brings effects, some good, some not so good, at least temporarily.  If you were eating a lot of sugar and bad fats, then your body is now in the elimination phase, particularly your liver, just as if you were fasting.  If that's the case, when it passes, you should find yourself feeling lighter, healthier, and more energetic, but again, don't know how much of the bad stuff you were eating and what you replaced it with.

thanx guys! i believe it was due to be eliminating all the bad food b/c now the headaches have seemed to subside...and its been 3 weeks since i started the diet.
