Compulsive lying

I am pretty sure my girlfriend is a compulsive liar. I have caught her in some small lies where she has no reason to lie and reacently she made up a story about a medical procedure she had done. I am sure the story isn't true because of a note that she wrote to herself from a friend of hers to support the story. The note is in her writing and there is no question about it. There is no reason for her to make that up at all. I'm believe I'm going to have to end the relationship soon, but, I just don't understand. Can anyone offer me any suggestions???
