Effexor and Zoloft

Effexor is most effective for my depression and ADD.  Zoloft is most effective for my obsessive thinking, but also makes me very tired.  Can I take both at the same time? ( Currectly take Effexor XR 150mg.. Used to take Zoloft 100mg. daily.)  If not, is there a different med that can be taken with the Effexor to help control the obsessing?

Definitely a question that no one on here is qualified to answer so it is best to talk to your doctor to see if they can be used in combination.  Medicines sometimes don't work as well in combination.

I have taken both of these and neither of then helped me. I noticed that you said that Zoloft worked best for your obsessive thoughts which I have a huge problem with. But I have been taken 200mg Zoloft for over 3 years now and I think if anything I'm worse than before. Do you know of any other antidepressant that may help with these type of disorders like OCD? I'm more of just a obsessive thinker than being compulsive though.

This may be a question for a doctor, My personal experience has been to talk to a doctor regarding any medication stoppage or mixing.
