I think it might be just crazy ocd

i used to have some depression schizo whatever, you name it, but i really dont have too much of that anymore due to just keeping busy all the time and being thankful.  And this is a very important thing.  But i usually have cases of ocd in which i obsess about things so much, and then maybe a day later its gone.  I used to obsess about thoughts of sexuality. I also used to obsess about my nose, because in 1999 i had a nose job, and i always wondered if i shouldve had it done.  But now i usually obsess about a cross on my finger.  Yes, I have a total of 2 tattoos with sculls on my leg, and a cross on my finger.  Ive had people ask "Why do you have that on your finger?"  I just tell em its for God.  Ive had one guy actually think i was the antichrist.  Other people just look it over, or say "Thats cool." My one friend who was even close to me, my friendship deteriorated somewhat ever since i got it, and he kinda just thinks im whacked.  But everyones got their opinion, i guess it just matters what i think.  I sometimes cover it up with a ring because i just dont feel like explaining.  I mean, Im not one of these religious freaks.  I dont know, i think i over obsess about too much.  What do you guys think?

well, why did you get it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging, it just might help me understand a little more. I think crosses are a beautiful way to express love for GOD, whether it be a tattoo, a necklace, a bumper sticker, whatever.
In my expirience when my mind gets bored obsessing over one thing (like your nose), it finds something else to obsess about (like your cross). I would bet that the friendship fizzling had a lot less to do with your cross than you think, that's just part of what our obsessive minds tell us. I would just continue to say "it's for GOD", I'm sure people can understand that. If they don't take the hint, answer "why are you wearing that (shirt, ring, skirt, ect)" instead of explaining your cross and they should get the hint to back off. Lot's of people walk around with crosses that cover they're entire chest or back. A small one on your finger doesn't seem like that much of a big deal. I'd be a lot more creeped out by the guy across the room with the devil tattooed on his arm than I would the person with the pretty little cross. Hope it helps!
