Intrusive thoughts are the WORST thing ever!!

anyone have these? i mean they are terrible. have you found ANY way to control them whatsoever?

my doc prescribed topamax but i have yet to try it out. im on 10mg lexapro and its not helping much, plus i hate SSRI's and want to switch to wellbutrin!

yeah they are a common thing in this day and age. Seeing a doctor is the best thing to do. Good luck.

SSRI's take a while to kick in. Some people need to take them for two months before feeling anything. But the good news is they do work. Please dont double post.

I hear ya. Intrusive thoughts are the WORST ever. I have felt for a very long time that I have brought these thoughts on myself. I know the doctor's say it isn't your fault. It is the OCD talking and your supposed to let the thoughts come and try not to pay attention to them. Well that's easy to say, but try living in our shoes day by day and having to deal with this junk all of the time. I hope they come up with a cure some day soon. I just joined this group and it seems very helpful.

I posted my first question on here..it is pretty long. Rusty...do you have a therapist you go to? I just started therapy and I am not sure I am going to continue it. It is just so hard talking about this stuff.
