Hi I am 16 and you are not crazy because if you are that means I am too.lol
I don't get on my nees and rock but I do rock / swing on a swing set. I have done it every day all day since I can remember. I also listen to music and daydream it's like my own little world no one and change or be in but me.
I have a lot of anxiety about school and people. So I just wanted to let you know your not alone I am really embarrassed by it too but I can't stop not even if I wanted too.

Hi there.  Rocking can also be a sign of stress.  You can have subconscious stress as well.  There is a whole thread on here on body rocking if you search for it.  It is only a problem if it interferes with your daily life.  Do you not do things appropriate to your age because you are at home rocking away?  The daydreaming is another thing that actually I do myself.  It becomes something called maladaptive daydreaming if again it is interfering with your daily life.

You said you were abused.  Did you ever talk to someone about this?  Is there a way for you to see a psychologist now?

Incidentally if you Google Bill Gates and rocking you will see him rocking at a meeting that obviously had him a bit stressed.

I am not a professional by any means. But what you "seem" to be describing is something I witnessed in a mental health group some years ago. I do not wish to alarm you (and again this only a "laymans'" opinion,  but some years ago I witnessed an individual "rocking" back and forth constantly, this person was described as having been diagnosed as "schizophrenic" or " schizo - affective" Again, I am only one (non-professional" individual, with only my personal "layman" opinion. You may want Google "systems of schizophrenia" And perhaps, talk to your primary Doctor about your "rocking" Be 100% totally honest with your doctor about this situation, and "LEAVE NOTHING OUT"!!!! WISHING YOU PEACE IN YOUR JOUNEY. PEACE.
