OCD

Okay. I'm not too sure how severe these compulsions would be classified as, but I'm scared to go to a doctor because I am afraid hes only going to prescribe me drugs.It seems like my hospitals only answer.
But I always experience things like,the urge to wash my hands-Always, but I don't always do it when i feel the urge because that'd be giving into it. I'm scared of going to the doctors because I am terrified of being prescribed more drugs.I always think the "what ifs" like what if i have an allergic reaction or it doesn't work, etc. I feel the urge to randomly yell, or hit things.This one isn't as usual as the hand washing but still happens a lot..even when I'm happy. I used to have to spell things over and over in my head, and I had an obsession with numbers and they could never add up to 13 or it would be on my mind constantly. I'm currently getting counseling but haven't had a session for a few weeks :/
Could anyone give me some advice on how to overcome this without medications?

hi i have bad news for u, it cant be done with out medication, councling is good as it helps stimulate the mind and helps to get through the cycle that your mind keeps running round. by the sounds off it your getting worse. are u allready on med? med dosnt get rid off ocd but it helps to control it you can never get rid. any more ? pls ask me on my profile page. i coul help as my fiance has had it since he was 10 and i have helped im thro it for 5 years i am now his full time carer x
