Obsessive Compulsive Masturbation
Hi, my boyfriend is a compulsive masturbator. We've talked about this many times and I'm not sure how I can help him, so any advice would be great. He usually masturbates at least 5 times a day. It's compulsory and he gets no pleasure from doing it. It seems to be a stress release from intrusive sexual imagery he thinks about, or something. There is a slight porn addiction to this as well. Also, he claims there is no connection between his emotions (or lack thereof) with the compulsive masturbation and emotions relating to sexual activity with me. But he never wants to do anything sexual so I'm confused as to how I would address this problem.
So does anyone have any advice on how to lower the amount that he masturbates, get him interested in sexual activity again with this problem in mind, or any steps towards recovery?

I think he needs to *** differently. I know being a man cumming/orgasm is different depending on where. I have a high sex drive and cumming in different places helps with my sex drive. I think if anal, vaginal, & oral (must not be interrupted, catch & spit for oral) are part of your bedroom action it will fulfilling his sensations.
This is no problem at all. Just let him use your hand and then, you wont feel left out of the process.

If he compulsively masturbates 5 times a day he could be sexually exhausted. Guys have a physical limit of how much abuse their privates can take.
If you have OCD then performing a compulsion is usually not enjoyable just necessary. (at least you think it's necessary.) I would believe him if he says that the masturbation is not tangled up with his sexual feelings for you. He is probably really embarassed about the whole thing.
But you should get him to talk to his therapist about this whole situation is my advice. Also maybe try to initiate sex early in the day if possible because by nighttime he might have worn himself out. He should be able to recover from the compulsion eventually, but you might have to work your sex life around it for a while. Good luck, too bad he isn't just a compulsive hand washer.
