Only teen males with HOCD?
I'm sorry for being so needy and posting another post but I just can't help but notice but those who have posted on this forum because of HOCD are teen guys. Well, I'm a 16 year old female and I think I may have HOCD (as I've had other bouts of compulsive thoughts and obsessive fear/worry in the past but have never been diagnosed with OCD). There just doesn't seem to be any teen females with HOCD on this forum. Is this because HOCD is only seen in males? So could this mean I don't have HOCD but something else? Or does this really mean I'm going to become gay? I really hope that's not true.

Hello there. We have talked on this forum before and to cut straight to the chase it is possible for women to have HOCD. I will look for the site but I have read in the past a story of a woman suffering with HOCD and her story of recovering from it with cognitive behavioral therapy. No need to fear I will try to find the link and post it.
