4 and a half years ago i had colon cancer,,,it was bad but went through the motions and opps and also the treatment and came through with flying colors,,,i was so strong and went back to work and everything,,had no panic feelings or anything,,,since my father has been told he has lung cancer 5 months ago  i have been a mess,,,,i have had so many tests coming back all clear,,,now everyday i have like panic attacks,,,i think i have everything,,at the moment i think i keep having heart attacks,,my hands go cold and my feet ,,then my arm and leg hurts,,i had an ecg and an echo on my heart and all was normal,,im o.k for a couple of days then pins and needles in left arm and leg come,,,the doctor took my blood pressure and was 190 /102,,went to major pannic then came right down to 150/100,,,he said it was still tooo high and monitored me for a few days that sent me into a tizzy,he even gave me a machine which now he regrets as i never got off it,,he gave me a low dose of high blood pressure tablets and i go back at the end of the week to see how its going,,,but the tablets give me headaches,,,i am not going down the road though in thinking i have a brain tumour,,,no way,,that would be really crazy,,help ,does any body else feel this way...

are you being silly? well...you're letting your worries get the better of you, that's for sure. congrats on beating the colon cancer, by the way. thats good to hear. but it seems when things happens to people we love...whether it be a sudden discovery that they have cancer or a heart attack or whatever...it can affect us in ways we wouldn't have imagined. my dad suddenly died of a heart attack when i was 16....so i know logically that that experience is why i have such a huge fear that i will have one as well, even though i'm only 24. sounds to me like your nerves have gotten the better of you. you need to practice relaxation. this can help lower your blood pressure also. anxiety does raise blood pressure. keep seeing your doctor and go to a psychiatrist. it sounds to me like you have issues in your life right now that you're dealing with that are also causing stress and anxiety. psychiatrists can help you deal with these issues much better than just a normal doctor.
