anafranil doses
whats the highest dose of anafranil anyone here has heard of? I am currently on 250mg at night. I dont think its doing the job it used to do.
Ill give it another month at this dose. I am also just on lithium and havent adjusted to that yet. another month and see... then Ill talk to him about changing.
I'm not sure what the highest dose of Anafranil is but there are many other medications for OCD (many in the same category as Anafranil which are SSRI anti-depressents such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc. that are also used for OCD) so you might want to speak to your psychiatrist about potentially changing you to another medication if Anafranil doesn't work anymore. Sometimes medications in this class don't work as well as they did after an extended period of time and changing to another one helps. Speak to your psychiatrist about this.
