anyone do/have this?

by autumnsky, Oct 30, 2009 08:18AM
My ocd has been going crazy the last 24 hours. I have to recite a words or phrases (certain ones) ans if I do it wrong or mispronounce it I have to start all over again until I get it right, my head hurts and I get really upset if I have to re-do it, sometimes it takes several times to do. Also while I am reciting if the time chances on the clock I have to recite. it's like a ritual. Anyone have this? It is ruining my life and I think if I don't recite the phrases bad things will happen and it bothers me the whole day and I have to keep on doing it! I know it is my ocd but does anyone have advice on how to end this????????????

You could ask your psychiatrist if that is Tourette's Syndrome which can accompany ocd  and they could tell you what to do from there. That can be treated with medication and there is also a forum for it.
