hi. I have body dismorphic disorder and i know this is late.. i've been getting treatment for 15 weeks now.. in boston at the mass general. To find support groups you have to LOOK EVERYWHERE YOU CAN.. you really don't want to live with this disorder... it's hell, it really is. i'm not better, not even close but i need to try very hard.. and do my work.
It's estimated that 1-2% of the world's population suffers from BDD, as it seems to be with most disorders for some reason. It's always worth questioning the validity of these stats though. It's supposed to effect both men and women equally.

do you have BDD????? I've been looking for a support group or even a single person who also has this horrifying disorder.....someone who understands what it's like to live with it.
i dont know but my guess is its pretty high especially among women.
