nervousness w/ocd

by tommy10, Apr 03, 2008 03:27PM
when i was approx 20 yrs old i used a otc nasal spray for my sinuses for about 2 months, i  stopped and it rebounded
bad and i began feeling nervous and anxious and getting ocd syptoms (symptoms) sweaty palms and armpits, oily skin, fluttering my words, dizziness and my joints began cracking all over my body causing stiffness, tension and a unbalance of my muscles and spine , accompanied by heel pain when standing for long periods of time. I went to several disease specialists and they just didnt believe me. I went to a physcologist and he put me on zoloft, it made me even more nervous but seemed to helped the dizziness and ocd stuff. now im in my 30s and i feel like an old man, i believe the otc spray caused this, but now im wondering what kind of doctor or medicine i should seek or if anyone has heard or experienced this.

Ten years ago the nasal spray may of been made differently than today but the use of it for only two months shouldn't of caused all you are talking about.  I had a real unexaplainable experience also, I thought I was going to die from it, I also went  to rare disease specialists.  They found nothing.  I knew what I felt but no explanation for it.  I felt I knew what the medication or mixture I took may of caused it.  The truth is the doctors can only treat our symptoms, I know about waking up one day and being different and wondering if it will ever go away.  If you keep telling them it had to do with nasal spray ten years ago you willbe given nut meds.  I believe you and also that the spray may of set off something that was going to happen.  I suppose you went to a bone and joint specialist?  That seems like what it is down to.  Good luck
