Hey lou, I'm in the same boat as you, when I leave my apartment I find myself continually checking to make sure my lights are off and the doors locked and the stoves off. Sometimes i'll even be walking out to the parking lot and have to go back and check my door again even when I know it's locked. I haven't been told by a doctor I have ocd but I'm sure i have some form of ocd. Though my ocd tends to come and go and thankfully haven't gone crazy about cleaning but I know people that do. I'm sorry to hear that your ocd or worrying has been getting worse over time but you don't have to live like that, there are many medications out there to help with ocd. I would recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor and tell him or her about what you think may be OCD. They would then decide weather or not you need to be on medication or not and would find the best prescription for you. Call your doctor and make an appointment and get this figured out, best of luck!
