scared to death HIV

Hi guys,

I don't even know where to start. I have posted a quesrtion here on HIV from a needle. I know deep in my heart that the needle was fresh but even still 1 week later i'm having such a hard tome accepting the facy i am ok.

It all rooted from an incident when i thought i was attacked. Then i ordered a home testing kit the most stupidist thing i have ever done with all the worst case scenarios people just say NO RISK. I do value there expertise and that but day after day im convinced i have something and i'm just counting the days down till the nurse will say yeh you have it. I really don't know what to do. I have searched the net. spoke to hiv experts, spoke to the clinic, and even sent a few emails here and NO RISK! i'm absolutly scared now about going for my tests - scared that i will loose my bf over all of this .

Its a sick- growing pain day by day the one i have when i know i done something wrong, yet i am sure the needle was clean and wrapped. apart from poking myself the joke should be i poked myself with s terile needle but thats just not the case here?

Im going in for my 1st hiv test thursday, then again 2 weeks thursday and then again 1 week after and proberly 1 week after that its so sad i have dated them in my diary?

I dont know what to say i have booked a appointment with the doc can only get an appt by middle of august no good for me!

if anyone has any advice etc plse do let me know im having the worst feelings day after day after day.......... i cant eat, sleep. do stuff its terrible.

being poked from a needle - that was proberly sterile, i got tested today awaiting results tuesday no syptoms (symptoms) .

hey don't worry. I'm sure you have nothing to worry.keep faith on god. Ofcourse your result will be negative. Btw after how many days you tested this ? And also you have no symptoms. Good luck

hey thanks, i got tested 12 days after - im gona go for a another test next week then the following week then again the week after just to keep my anxiet at bay! im sure it was a new needle im just being stupid

Hey. 12 days is too early.I suggest to you at least wait until 3 months and go to test. Coz getting  tested every week it's just waste of money and time however you test earlier than 3 months you should test at 3 months for conclusive result.now i have decide to test after complate 3 months. But i can feel your anxiety it's very hard to pass. And we have no another way. Please pray for me and i pray for you too. We really need much prayer. Good luck and have a patient

And where did you get poked by needle was  it happene in hospita or. Somewhere else ?

no, well here in the UK you can have a hiv test at the GUM clinic, some drs agree its a conclusive result and other say come back at 3 months the percentage is 99.98% so thats pretty good indicator, i rang a dr at a london clinic ( thats how i got the stupid needle) and he said 28 days was a conclusive result, the needle was sealed- and i twisted it i think its the paranoia that set in there was no blood and it came from the lab

needle was sealed it means needle was new . There is nothing to worry we must trust to medicall staff they would not put you at risk with no reason.But as we know that our anxiety keep in killing up. So i suggest you a test at 3 months for  peace of your mind. Good luck

HA HA HA yeh i know it was sealed an i'm a freak! but your right its that anxiety of what if? no... 28days test will be fine for me,, i have been assured by a DR  here that 28day test will rule out infection once and for all. I don't know why etc etc but 3 months god could you imagine all the testing i would do>
