I have OCD and will work in a DR. office soon. Help?

Hi, I will soon start working in a Doctors office, I was just wondering how I should handle this, having OCD. Should I turn it down, to you who is reading this, what would you do in my situation? Should I, even though I have OCD, work in the office? I'm extremely nervous and need some responses and advice!

If it is a doctor's office you should let them know!

Hopefully being in the medical setting, they will realize what you are going through, know that, for you, this is totally normal, and accept any little quirks you may have.

Don't worry so much, I'm sure it is a bigger deal to you than it will ever be to them!

Well, there is "OCD" and then there is "OCD".

Irrespective of the DSM designations there are degrees of OCD.

I would not tell them. Frankly, if someone told me that, in this period of time when there are fifty applicants for every job, I'd give them some excuse and not hire them. Or I would suspect they are setting me up for a disabilty tort with a bottom-feeder.

Only you know what you can handle.

Get the job, and if you can't handle it, you can always quit.
