Military, noise, hazmat, explosions

Hello I am a Non commissioned officer in the US Army and have been in for 11 years now, I have several health concerns with regards to my time in the military I love my country and the Army but feel as though the health care though free is still being used by drug companies as test beds for new medicines and FAD/new medical treatments compared to good old herbs, and other therapy such as chiropractics.

I have been in Iraq for 12 months, Afghanistan for 15 and Kosovo two different trips for 3 and 6 months.  All of those times we were given a large regiment of drugs to immunize us against the possible infections, and diseases we could encounter.

Do you recommend any sight in particular for learning about possible drugs that could cause more problems than they help such as Motrin, Singulair, or other shots used by the military?

You pose some interesting questions. In Vietnam, I served as an officer and was told by the battalion surgeon that a specific drug was to be used in our area because there was a special kind of malaria. I forced my men to take this horrible pill, and after the war found outn we were the only unit taking this medication because they wanted to compare and contrast malarial rates. The drug was found to cause kidney and liver problems. I certainly felt betrayed.

Your fears are well grounded.

I don't think the drug companies are willfully causing harm, however there is an insensitivity to the rights of service men and women that is part of the culture.
