calories burnt from work

I work as a server where I am on my feet between 5 and 8 hours walking and lifting heavy trays but it is not continuous,I stop to talk to tables am I still burning calories and if so how much?

Your body is constantly burning calories to keep your body functioning. To burn more calories, do more activities, and the more strenuous the activity the greater the calorie burn.
