triscaphe fusion stt joint arthroses-work induced?

I live in a Kibbutz in Israel. I worked for many years as a plumber with high pressure steam boilers. I practically always worked alone. At times I had to open piping parts fused together with steam. When working alone I had to work against myself with large pipe wrenches using my left hand as a vise against the strength of my right hand with added levers to open fittings. Nine years ago I changed my occupation to computer hardware technician. Inspite of my request for a vehicle I recieved none from the Kibbutz. Daily I lugged around computers and screens on a bicycle holding the computer/screen with my left hand pressing it against my side while using my right hand to ride the bike. Over the last few years pains developed in my hands and wrists. I reached a point where I could not use my left hand for light work. Last week I had surgery on the STT joint. The surgeon told me when I came to on the operating table that the damage to the three bones was extreme with a lot of debris that had to be cleaned out. There was no damage at all to the CMC joint nor was there any damage to the surrounding ligaments muscles or vascular vessels. Am I entitled to workers compensation? do I have a case against the Kibbutz? My hands will never be what they were, or can the insurance claim that the disability is caused by normal causes of age (I am 62) or geneological inheritance.
