Hello.

You might consider asking your question in another forum such as urology or family medicine.

First of all, your problem does not sound like a kidney stone. Kidney stones may cause pain and discomfort in the abdomen (stomach) and flank (sides of the lower back) when the stone is passing from the kidney to the bladder. After the stone leaves the bladder, significant discomfort can be experienced in the urethra (the tube that passes through the penis out of the body).

If your problem is located directly above the penis and is a round and tender nodule there are a couple possibilities: infected hair follicle, cyst, abscess.

If your problem is located above the penis on either side, this could represent lymph node swelling and inflammation (called lymphadenitis).

How large is the "painful lump"? Can you measure the diameter? Is the "lump" red, warm, or draining pus?

Are you having any other symptoms: pain with urination, fever, chills, joint pains, blood in your urine, pain with ejaculation, testicular pain?

In conclusion, I recommend that you see a physician for your problem.
