Vinyl coating on windows, allergy reactions?

I chose Confinded spaces, because my Mom lives in an apt. for assisted living people.  They just installed new windows and the outer casings are made of vinyl.  She got an immediate allergic reaction and since they just put them in and she is the only one having a problem, they won't help her.  She is disabled.  About 8 months ago, they had changed her shades to vinyl and she got a terrible reaction - she states she feels burning and itching and when they removed the shades, her symptoms went away.  Is this a common reaction?  Because if so, then she can let them know and do something about it.  She has been suffering terribly with this problem as it is also causing her pain.  Can you help?  Thank you, Tina Partlow

Hello Ms. Parlow,

Could you please tell me a little more about your mother and her reactions that you describe in your posting?

How old (young) is she?
What medical problems does she have in addition to being disabled?
Does she have other allergies (to medications, food, etc)?
How long after the installation (of the windows) did the symptoms occur?
Does she describe burning, itchy eyes? and, does she have any difficulty breathing?
