After delivery question??

Hi Ladies,

I was just wondering,  How long does the after delivery bleeding last for??  Sarah is 23 days old.  for the first two weeks it was normal, then it stopped for a few day's, came back for a day, it will be gone for a day then back for two or 3 days.
Is this normal???
Its not old blood because of the color (bright red)

im having the same issue right now. I'm thinking its because we are STILL working on getting the Uterus back to normal, so I'm thinking the bleeding has to do with that too...It was a while with my first as well. I guess i'll ask when I go to the dr on Thurs.

my son is 4wks old and im still bleeding it was never heavy bleeding ive never filled up a pad ew i know but it was like your describing as well i thought i was done when that happend but it would come back then go so yeah probably another 2wks or so

My baby is 2 weeks old and my bleeding has almost completely stopped.  I could probably wear the same pad all day and it still wouldn't hardly  be full, sorry tmi.  I called the doc and they said that since I was exclusively breast feeding then it was normal for the bleeding to stop early.  With my last baby I bled for 6 good weeks and I was breast feeding him so I wonder if this is really normal.  Are you breastfeeding?

No, i'm not breastfeeding,  I just couldnt do it,   the bleeding stopped (hopefully for good)  a few days ago and it hasnt been back which is nice!!
