Had my wisdom tooth extracted about 3
weeks ago then had foot surgery 1
week ago. The pain I had from The extractions started to fade away but now I have the worst pain. I was wondering if maybe the foot surgery had something to do with it but I am not sure. I went to the emergency room but they just gave me antibiotics. I hope its nothing serious I am going to see the dentist on monday but I am nervous to find out what it is
Anyone have an idea ?

I have the same problem, but so far only a mere 6 weeks. Nobody mentioned any permanent pain as one of the risks from wisdom tooth extraction when I signed the consent. I hope and trust that the pain will resolve. I would be really interested to hear how you get on, currently none of the medics have any ideas about what can be done.
It is uncommon to have the intense pain for so long and may have a problem with bone healing. You may also have a dysthesia from the nerve and would suggest you give your doctor every opportunity to make you feel better.
A second opionion consultation from a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is not unreasonable even if it is with the treating surgeons associate or partner.
I would be concerned about infection, osteomyelitis, and inflammation in the wound or around the sensory nerve. A CT and/or bone scan may be indicated.
If you smoke...you definitely should stop immediately.
