Pain after dental implant

On the night before my 2/25 appt, I broke off part of the tooth, that had the root canal, eating licorice. I was not in pain, just embarrassed that I had messed up my tooth with my bad habits. ( I figured my ice crunching had weakened my tooth). This was the last time I was not in pain.
The tooth fell out as they worked on it. The Dentist came in and resurface my gums with a laser, and insert a post.
To this post they put a temp tooth, until my permanent tooth would approve. As the meds wore off, I began to experience intense pain. A couple of days later I re-visited, concerned that food getting trapped was irritating my gums. The temp was removed...the pain presisted. I felt that this must be the tooth behind, and a cavity I knew it had.
In addition to throbbing pain, cold/hot, sweet food, pressure, exersize (like if run, jump/aerobics), cause the intense spikes of pain.
At my March 24th appointment to install the crown, I made them treat the tooth behind as they inserted the crown. The placement of the crown was intense, it felt as it was being shoved into the mouth and that it did not fit. They also did more lazer resurfacing of my tooth.
My next appointment on May 19th, which was to again treat tooth on the other side of my mouth, I relayed my pain since the Feb 25th appointment. They looked at my mouth, took an Xray, and could find no reason. They filled another cavity two teeth back, but I could not understand why a cavity would give me this much pain, and not at the spot of the cavity. May 26th, as I type this email. My tooth throbs. I take Tylenol every 4 hours.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
At this point you should seek a second opinion of either an Endodontist or Oral Surgeon to determine the precise cause of your symptoms.  Traumatic occlusion, infection, fractured tooth and several other conditions may all give the same pain.  10-15% of root canals will have problems at some point and many after 5 yrs.

Furthermore:
Here are the theories from my dentist when I visited on the 19th.
Sensitive Teeth: I have been crunching on ice since 9th grade!! May I add, without pain! This is NOT a sensitive tooth situation…although I have used the medicine they provided, which changes nothing.
Root Canal: My root canal was completed over 5 years ago, why would the pain begin over 5 years later, and only after reconstruction of my gums and a post being placed in my gum. I am not a dentist, but this seems rather unlikely.
Cavities: I felt this could be it, but I mentioned, that I do not feel this is a tooth issue, something with my gums or nerves, as the pain will radiate when pressure is applied. But we have eliminated all surrounding decay.
