bone grafting and asymetric smile

I had a bad implant taken out on 8/14/2008 on tooth #10. on the same day, the doctor did bone grafting by using BMP-2. Now it is 5 weeks after the surgery. The major swelling is gone, the area is bulky now.

I notice because the bulkyness of the surgical area, when I smile, the shape of my lips become asymetric.  because the bulky area underneath my upper left lip, every time when I smile, that part of lip become thick and relative big when compare to the right side of my upper lip as the bulky surgical area underneath the lip push against the lip when I smile.

will this be permanent? or it is too early to say now and bulkyness could reduce over time as time pass by and my smile will become normal? Thanks.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The surgeon may have placed more bone graft material than was necessary to filling the defect.  This is sometimes done as the graft will often experience some resorption.  It is much easier to remove the excess "bulk" later on than it is to deal with inadequate bone volume.

So, it may improve naturally or the surgeon may need to do some touch-up procedures once everything has completely healed.

if ask the doctor to remove the excess "bulk", at what stage is the good time?
Now I am at the healing stage of bone graft.
after bone graft, will be
1. implant
2. uncovering and abutment
3. implant crown.

when should I ask the doctor to remove the excess bulk ? at 1, before place the implant, or after 1 and before 2 when implant is fully integrated? or at stage 3?

if it have to be done as a separate surgery, then at what stage is recommend? Thanks.
