BICEP TENODESIS

Hi Dr. Gross,

I got the 2nd opinion from the shoulder specialist and he feels that I have a bicep problem. I had a tenotomy but he feels the bicep tendon has fell down towards the elbow and this is causing all the pain and cramping. I am getting a cortisone shot in the shoulder joint and bicep Tuesday. If that doesn't work he will do a bicep tenodesis. Can this be done arthroscopic? Also what kind of a rehab is it? Also is it more complicated than the tenotomy was?

Thanx.

Destiny

There are many ways this can be done. At this point, I suggest you get the specifics from your treating surgeon.
