Burning leg pain

Burning leg pain

I'm in good shape except for a protruding cervical vertebra and a small syrinx in my lumbar region which a neurosurgeon said should not be causing any symptoms. I had what I was pretty sure was a groin strain occur rock climbing two years ago (needless to say, with the spinal issues, I don't climb anymore), and it took six months and some intense physical therapy before I could even do a butterfly stretch.

I don't understand my current symptoms at all, and neither do any doctors I've seen. Six days ago, for example, I drove three hours to the ocean, spent four hours in intense waves and another two hours walking up and down the boardwalk, and drove three hours back. I felt great the entire time except for some transient knee pain. A few days prior, I'd driven to New York, walked all around the city, and similarly felt great. Four days ago, I started to feel some slight discomfort in the region of the groin strain, but it wasn't intense or problematic.

This morning I walked a mile and a half to work from a car dealership and now my entire right leg (the leg where I'd strained my groin) is burning like fire. It's important to note that I frequently walk three miles and just get a little tired. The burning seems to start in my groin and radiate down to my foot. My orthopedic doctor thinks I'm just out of shape, but while that might be true to some degree, it's obviously not really causing my symptoms. This isn't DOMS. I know DOMS and get it frequently and this is not DOMS. Should I see another neurologist? Where should I go from here? I want to know, at least, what's happening.

It's also important to note that I got a ton of fasciculations in my thigh last night, which happens about twice a month for me.
