Frozen shoulder & the MUA procedure

hi again
i've been dealing with the frozen shoulder for months now & I have been through lots of  PT & 2 cort. injections.
i brought up the subject to my orhto about doing the MUA, so i can get the shoulder back to where I
can function better. My ortho doesnt seem to keen on the MUA procedure. he indicated that the outcome
where he had seen in some cases, didnt turn out with the best results.   he also mentioned that more adhensions
can developed & a lot more PT still has to be done.  i can deal with the PT but i am looking to get more ROM back
in your opinion, is the MUA worth doing at all?
thnx again
take care

Adhesive capsulitis, frozen shoulder, can take between 6 months to a year to resolve with conservative management.  Many surgeons favor manipulation under anesthesia accompanied by arthroscopic capsular release.  Post operatively, a nerve block or pain pump can be utilized to minimize pain. Physical therapy is started in the recovery room and maintained on a daily basis for several weeks befor going back to a three times a week schedule.  When succesful this can dramatically reduce the time to recovery and hasten return to function.
