I have ripped my Achilles tendon

I have ripped my Achilles tendon

About 12 months ago I had an accident working out at the gym; I have ripped my Achilles tendon. I had surgery and everything to reconstruct it, but now I am not sure what to do. I asked 5 doctors I know so far, about if I should start light training at the gym again or just completely keep my foot out of workouts forever. A few told me you can workout and a few told me not to workout...what should I do?
I am honestly afraid to train my legs again, because if my tendon pops I don't want to go through all that pain again. What do you suggest that I do in the gym now to strengthen my tendon again, or should I just leave it alone and just work it out by simple walking.
Please let me know! Thank you very much!

One year after Achilles' tendon repair most patients are able to return to full activity.  If you are having problems, I'm not sure why you haven't discussed this with your surgeon.  No one can give you better afvice than the person who was there.
