Knee replacement surgery correction

My mother had a full knee replacement about two and a half years ago.  The outcome is her knee is worse then it was prior to the surgery. They almost killed her on the table by pumping too many fluids and her lungs filled up and her heart slowed down.  As a result of this she was put on the cardiac floor for 5 days barely concious.  She was never put on that machine that moves the leg constantly.  Her doctor was supposed to be very good in Boston.  She has gone to 2 other doctors asking for help in repairing this issue.  Both show her the x-rays where the knee is clearly messed up then proceed to tell her they will not correct someone elses mistake.  The doctor who initially performed the surgery is now retired.  What is she supposed to do?!?!  Please help, she is in a great amount of pain constantly.

Hopefully, there is a University affiliated teaching hospital/medical center nearby.  At a center such as this, there are tertiary care orthopedists who only do joint replacement surgery.
These doctors not only specialize in revision surgery and difficult cases, they enjoy it. I would try to get an appointment there as soon as possible.
