Need clarification of x-rays

Hi Dr.,
I guess it's best to re-write as it is, the report.  I think I understand some, but it would be most helpful
to understand how or if this is the root of my pain, by having it explained a bit simpler.  Thanks for any
help.

Report:
Right Tibia and Fibula
No focal abnormality is seen within the tibia or fibula.  There is no sign of fracture nor any destructive
bony lesion.  No sign of stress fracture.
However, the angle of the tibiotalor joint is not perpendicular to the long axis of the tibia.  Rather,
it slopes downward medially.  This could be congenital or could be residua of some remote surgery,
but I cannot actually see any post-surgical changes.  Standing views of the ankle might clarify this.
There are no obvious signs of arthritic change at that joint on these views.
End of report.

I'm 51.  My family doctor will not order the x-ray to compare at this point.  I have pain in the knee
joint on the sides mostly, and sometimes down to the top of the foot area.

sounds like a fairly normal xray.  your ankle joint (tibiotalar) shound be parallel to the floor and to the knee, and perpindicular to the tibia. if yours isnt, this is usually caused by tibia vara (bow legs). as we have discussed in the past, a comparison view would determine if this is "just the way you are built," or the result of some other process.  I'm not really sure why your MD won't order the film.  Ask him?

Ok, thanks, sorry for the repeat.  I know we discussed the tibia vara,
I thought this could be something else, not knowing the language of
the report.  I asked, my doctor is not interested in it for some reason.
She thinks the pain is un-related.
She is very determined in her thoughts and it takes some doing to
change it.  But thank you.
