Putting a weight on my ankle

Putting a weight on my ankle

Hello everyone.
So my injury does not involve sports medicine but it does involve orthopedics. Three weeks ago I suffered a double ankle fracture and had my ankle pinned. Since I have been in a cast and not really getting out much since I find walking on crutches extremley exhausting without being able to put some weight on my ankle and the doctor has warned me I had a very unstable fracture so I should not take any risks-especially since I am currently very far away from my family and my friends can only help so much. A week ago I had a check up. I am taking no pain killers and besides sometimes feeling little needles in my ankle I do not really find it painful or uncomfortable. The doctor told me my recovery was going brilliantly and in two weeks (so in a week from today) I should be able to put some weight on it. Then I got another appointment which is in a month (the date I am supposed to take my cast off) Since I do not really know how much weight I am allowed to put on my ankle and I do not know how my ankle has been healing since the last xray, should I try to get an earlier appointment and ask how much weight specifically I am allowed to put on my ankle? Do you maybe know how much is too much or is each injury individual?
Many thanks in advance,
Joanna
