Scaphoid wrist fracture and length of rehabilitation time?

My cast came off today Hooray!!! It was on for 9 weeks, I had a minimally displaced fracture which has almost healed. It is stiff and quite painful, how long does rehab take, and for the muscles to come back? One month, two?
I work in early childhood education and need to be able to lift 30lbs. How soon will I be able to do this? Thanks.

For specific answers to your questions, you really have to ask your treating physician, and quite honestly, they really should be happy to give you that information. In general, I see most recovery in 6 - 12 weeks, but patients continue to get better for up to a year.
