Shoulder problems

My husband had bone spurs removed in 1996 healed fine with no problems. He was an over the road truck driver. In 2003 he tore his rotor cuff, had surgery and PT for about 6 mo then went back to work with little restrictions. About 6mo later he tore his labrium and the dr waited 6mo to do surgery on it. After 6mo went to work with several restrictions. Worked a couple months and shoulder gave out and he couldnt use it. Dr said there was nothing else he could do. Seen a couple other drs through workers comp. No one did anything. I went to a dr on my own 2008. After several shots and PT they did an exploritory surger and trimed up some tendons and had some minor tears that were fixed. Another year and they did another surgery (his 5th) to reattatch the deltoid muscle. Its been over 2yrs now and its worse then ever. Constant pain, cant use it and the restricions are very strict. Do you have any suggestions or ideas? Any help will be appreciated. thank you

Certainly, I would suggest seeing a shoulder specialist. Along those lines, I would recommend using the local University teaching hospital, there should be someone there who ONLY treats shoulders.  The exact answer depends on many variables: his age, activity level, degree of arthritis present, the integrity of the rotator cuff tendons, the deltoid and the labrum, and finally the amount of function he presently has.
