Surfing Accident

I got hit by a surfboard that was attached to my ankle but still in the water and it was going between 5-10 mph, right above my left ankle bone, causing me to flip over my board 3 months ago. I have been in pain ever since and finally hadan x-ray done last week that came back negative. I am still in excrutiating pain and now I have a stabbing pain under my left ankle bone and I can not put any pressure on my left foot or move it without horrible pain. How do I find out what is going on?

A repeat X-ray may reveal a fracture that wasn't seen on the original films. If the pain persists, and your orthopedist cannot make a diagnosis, an MRI may demonstrate subtle bone injury, or soft tissue injuries.
