Tingling Under Left Rib Cage

I've been having lower back pain for about six weeks and about the same time that the back pain developed I also got the tingling, catching feeling under my left rib cage.I've been seeing a chropractor who feels I have lower back strain. I'm more concerned about the wierd tingling sensation which comes and goes all day. Could this be some kind of nerve damage that will take months to heal? Or could it be something else?
